Switch to fullscreen

Click on the fullscreen icon or press ESC, E, or B key while playing video to switch from normal viewing mode to fullscreen mode and vice versa.

In fullscreen viewing mode, the transcript (and its translation text) will be shown only when the video is paused. This greatly helps those who watch TED videos to train their English listening skills — see Pause and Check.

When paused in fullscreen mode, the current segment text is shown in yellow and the previous segment text in cyan. If a translation language is selected, the translation is also displayed below. The timestamp and relative position are shown at the bottom of the screen.
